What people use it for
Email and contact lists
Merge several exports, switch on “Ignore case” and “Trim spaces”, and every address appears once.
Keyword and URL lists
Dedupe, then sort A → Z so overlaps between research sessions are easy to spot.
Logs and data columns
Paste a column from a spreadsheet and keep only the unique values, or only the ones that repeat.
Finding what repeats
“Keep only lines that repeat” shows one copy of every line that appears more than once.
Questions people ask
Which copy of a duplicate line is kept?
By default the first one, and your original order is preserved. Choose “keep last” to keep the final occurrence instead.
Are “Apple” and “apple” duplicates?
Not unless you switch on “Ignore upper/lower case”. With it on, the first version you wrote is the one that stays.
What happens to blank lines?
With “Remove empty lines” on they are deleted. With it off, blank lines are left exactly where they are and never counted as duplicates, so paragraph spacing survives.
Does it change my original text?
No. Your list stays untouched on the left and the cleaned version appears on the right. Use “Use as input” if you want to chain another clean-up.
How many lines can it handle?
Hundreds of thousands of lines work in a modern browser, because the whole job runs on your device. Very large pastes may take a moment to appear.
Can I keep only the lines that appear once?
Yes. Choose “Keep only lines that appear once” to drop everything that has a twin, or “Keep only lines that repeat” to see just the repeated entries.
